Coherent Health welcomes any health + wellness practitioner but is designed with an emphasis on Independent Wellness Professionals (those who are not required to be licensed by their state). Modalities include: yoga, Pilates, Alexander Technique, Trigger point therapy, Rolfing® SI, Reiki, breath work, energy medicine, health/life/relationship coaching, aromatherapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Neuro-linguistic Programming® and beyond.

Coherent Health’s primary features are a practitioner directory, note-taking, and communicating...confidentially. Altogether, these features enable you to:

- Make yourself visible. Promote your good work. Just like you want to know what’s going on professionally in the health + wellness world, so do your colleagues!

Long Answer:

‘HIPAA-compliant’ means that your notes and conversations are stored confidentially, in accordance with the Privacy Rule under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 as amended. All web traffic is transmitted and stored in a secure manner, using SSL connections and data encrypted both while in transit and at rest. Our platform code is scanned for security issues. We have policies in place for management of data. All-in-all, private health information is respected whether you store or share it.

This applies whether it’s your practice, or you are coordinating care with a HIPAA-regulated practitioner. For example, a Pilates instructor (who is not required to be HIPAA-compliant) wants to coordinate care with a Physical Therapist (who is required to be HIPAA-compliant), in order to best address their client’s hip pain. To communicate together electronically, the instructor would need to use software that enables HIPAA-compliance. Truly integrated care!
